Statuses - What Do the Different Statuses Mean?

In this article:

An item's status is determined by two fields. Stage controls the item's workflow, moving it from draft all the way through completion. State reports risk or how well the MOR or project is progressing. Together, these report an item's overall status.

For example, a project that has been planned and should be underway but has failed to get started may have a Stage of accepted and a State of yellow. Or a project that is running well would have a Stage of in progress and and State of green.

Stage

None/Not Started
  • None: Use this stage for items you don’t need reminders for.
  • Not Started: New assignments will appear here. New Projects/MORs is set to Not Started by default

Ready to Assign | Mark a project as ready to assign once it’s ready to work on.

In Progress | change a project to in progress once you have begun working it

Complete | the project is complete

Canceled | the MOR or project has been stopped

State

Green | active and in good condition; the person responsible has accepted the and expects the outcomes to be met on time

Yellow | active and there is a small risk of not meeting the outcomes on time

Red | active and there is a large risk of not meeting the outcomes on time

Visual alerts of check-in schedule

State status icons alert you when a MOR or project needs to be checked in. You can set a check-in schedule for each item in your plan (see the next section to learn how to set the schedule). Based on that schedule, the status icon will alert you when you need to check-in.

Coming Due | the hourglass on a status indicates a check-in is coming due within the next two days

Overdue | the exclamation point indicates a check-in is overdue

Note:

A clear State status icon indicates this item is up-to-date based on the check-in schedule.

Important:

The system will never automatically change the state or stage of your items; it will simply indicate within your current state of green, yellow, or red whether a check-in is coming due or overdue.
