Search - Find What You are Looking For

In this article:

Search can help you find anything in the system. Just type what you’re interested in finding into the search box and hit enter (or click the magnifying glass).

Important:

If you are searching for an archived item, you must use advanced search and adjust the filter to Include Archived. See the next section of this article to learn how.

The search engine categorizes your results by type of item, ie. goals, projects, etc. Click the expand icon to see the results.

If your search returns more than 25 results, the option to Load All Rows appears.

The example below shows a search for a project using the term “client” returned 338 results. Such a large list may make it difficult to find what project you are looking for. Trying adding a few more keywords to include in your search inquiry.

Narrowing the search from "client" to "client review" brings the results down to a manageable 20 items (see example below).

Note:

Each word you type is searched separately across all fields and then the results of are ANDed, meaning you get a set that has every word, but not necessarily in order. We do not search across the following fields: status, date, project type, plan type, and number fields.

Once you find the thing you are looking for, you can open the item by clicking the hyperlinked name.

Or you can add it to a meeting agenda, a breakdown, a plan, etc.

You can also archive the item or get a shareable link to it.

If you happen to know what type of item you are looking for (plan, project, goal, etc.) you can limit the the search to that item type to improve the performance and control of your search.

With your search limited to one type of item (i.e. "projects"), you can use the filter to narrow your search.

Important:

If you are searching for an archived item, you must use advanced search and adjust the filter to Include Archived.

You can also limit the search to your own projects or only projects your team owns.

Similarly, you can limit your search by date range.
