How to Archive (Soft-Delete) and Recover Items?
Archiving vs. removing items
When you want to get rid of an item from your plan or a work breakdown, you have two options:
- Archive it, or
- Remove it.

Removing an item takes the project out of this plan or work breakdown but leaves it active throughout the rest of the system. Remove an item when you believe it should still be visible to other people but you simply do not need it in your plan or work breakdown any longer.
Archiving an item takes the item out of view throughout the system, and out of view in this plan or work breakdown. This is a "soft delete." We do not "hard delete" any item to where it is unrecoverable. When you archive an item, it is deactivated and taken out of view. See the next section to recover an archived item.
To archive or remove an item, click on the three-dot row menu for the item > and select either Archive Item or Remove from Plan/Work Breakdown.

How to find something you archived or removed from your plan
Recovering archived items
Since we do not "hard delete" any item, you can always recover archived items. To do so, go to the filter option in the upper-right > select Include Archived Items

All archived items will be stuck out. To unarchive an item, open the three-dot row menu for the item > select UnArchive.

Important:
Be sure to return your filter option to not include archived items.
Recovering items you removed
If you simply removed an active item and want to retrieve it, you can use search to find it.
Type the name of the item in the search bar in the upper-right

When you find the removed item, open the three-dot row menu > select Add To > and Add To Plan.
Then select the plan you want to add to item to > and then Select.
Tip:
Start typing the name of your plan to narrow down the suggested list
Archiving plan sections
If you have added unique sections to your plan but want to archive one, open the three-dot row menu for the section > Archive Item.

Note:
Any active MORs or projects in the archived section will remain active throughout the system, but will be taken out of view with the archived section. For example, this user added "New Website Project" and "Systematic the entire sales pr..." to her next quarter because she did not finish them. She then archived Q2, but those projects remained active so she can manage them within Q3. Once they are complete, they will be marked complete throughout the system, including in the Q2 section.

To view or recover an archived section, go to the filter option in the upper right > select Include Archived Sections.

Archived sections will be stuck-out. To recover an archived section, open the three-dot row menu > select UnArchive Item.
Important:
Be sure to return your filter to not include archived sections.
